I Have The Craziest Friends

So Monday was a holiday so me and my housemates decided to have a small get together at night. Just a simple dinner of sorts. Chris decided to made ribs. Soft spare ribs. Ribs so soft they literally fall off the bone, if there was any bone to fall off from. He cooked them for over 10 hours.

After the dinner, they hung around and chilled for a bit and we started talking about things a person couldn't do. Like eating 7 salted crackers in under one minute. Or eating a teaspoon of cinnamon powder.

Guess who stood up to the challenge? Earl did. The very same guy who challenged the 7 salted crackers but failed. Was sad though because I did not have my camera with me then and I could not record the thing but it was hilarious. Oh well here's a video of him chugging a tea spoon of cinnamon.

Ok, if you think that was bad, wait till you watch the next clip. God I swear the man has no taste buds. But nevertheless, he gained all our respect for what he did. Enjoy ^^

Been about time since I've done a real entry. I'm sure the few readers that I had would have probably deleted the link of my blog since I've practically ceased to stop posting and only been doing cheap Copy & Paste here lately.

Partly because I've been going out, doing stuff, and hanging out with friends. But it came to hit me how little I've done over the past 4 months once I realized that I am going back to Daytona Beach, the land dreaded by most males where you become more prone to Riddle Vision, even more so even if you are attending a university called ERAU.

If only I had more time, or maybe if only I applied to Australia instead of Land of Wonders, things could have been different. Should have probably named this post "If only I had 26 hours in a day."

Night Out With Hannah

Friday night, my friend Thong Kai asked me to go with him for dinner at Planet Hollywood in KL to go see Hannah Tan. It took us only 20 minutes to reach KL with his driver's ~~speeding~~ safe driving. But the traffic jam in KL itself caused us to take another 20 minutes to reach our destination.

When we got there, it was still a little too early to go down to the bar so we ordered dinner and ate upstairs. I am already sick of western food after eating all the same crap in US for 8 months and Kai ~~tricked~~ convinced me that they will have some none western food. How foolish of me to trust him

These ~~junk~~ food cost us RM 80 after Citibank credit card discount. KNN, might as well go eat jap food.

After the bar opened, we went downstairs. We were told that the event starts at 10 and I thought I would get to see Hannah sing. Next thing I know, Hannah just went up as the Emcee and left the stage. Most of the time, the stage looks like this.

We sat there for around 1 hour screaming at each other over the loud musics just to get a few words across to each other while inhaling all that ~~toxic~~ fresh tobacco smoke.

In the end, we left and before we did, we stopped by Hannah's table to say Hi and talked for a bit before we leave while I took ~~two pathetic~~ some photos.

I wonder if he's day dreaming or just too high.

Who's this useless guy trying to pretend to be shy and sitting so far from Hannah. Get closer la WTF!!.

An Old Friend

My old friend is actually quite young. Forgive me for my lame pun. I haven't seen Sheryl for more than 1 year. Well I do talk to her online but I haven't seen her for so long that if it wasn't for her msn picture, I might have forgotten how she looked like.

I took the train there because ~~I don't know the way there and I am just too lazy~~ I want to help preserve the environment and reduce global warming.

See how "efficient" the trains in Malaysia are. ONLY 19 minutes interval.

Now comes the highlight of the post. After the movie and lunch, we stopped by Sheryl's house to charge her phone. We walked there because it was just right across the street from Mid Valley.

Rock Climbing

I have been posting nothing but rubbish lately so I am finally posting something normal again.

I went rock climbing last Wednesday with 2 of my friends at Summit. We originally planned to go Camp 5 at 1 Utama but they were only open at 2 and we reached there at 12. That was only the minor reason we left. Main reason was it would cost us almost RM 200 to climb the whole day and we don't feel like burning a hole in our pockets when we are just beginning to learn rock climbing.

So after driving all the way to 1 U, we drove all the way back to summit because petrol is just so cheap.

After we reached there, we got lost for 15 minutes trying to find the indoor rock climbing gym. First time go summit mar, sorry for being mountain turtle lor.

But it was much cheaper here, only cost us RM 30. But the place looks a bit run down IMO.

Looks like a lot of people hanged themselves together right?

After a short lesson we began climbing rocks...

I landed on my butt the first time I tried to hop down the wall like a S.W.A.T. member. Somehow I had the feeling my belayer dropped my faster when I neared the floor on purpose.

Nah, this is my belayer. And I am supposed to trust him with my life. He looks like he haven't eaten anything for three days.

~~All in all~~ That just made me sound like I am typing my high school english essay. Anyway, for those of you who want to go rock climbing, screw camp 5, cheap and run-down at summit is the way to go man. Hooray for poor people.

I did not sleep the night before my flight, so I was really tired and did not bother to take any pictures of my flights home. I just slept through out the entire trip. But after sitting in the plane for 1.5 hours from Daytona to Atlanta, 15 hours from Atlanta to Korea, and 6 hours from Korea to Kuala Lumpur, I can describe my entire journey home with 3 words.

After coming to Embry-Riddle for such a long time. I fear for the fact that I might have contracted a terminal disease known as Riddle Vision. For those of you that have not heard of this fearsome disease, here's the definition. And apparently, it can only be contracted by guys.

Riddle Vision

A widespread and contagious ailment found in male students attending Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. This illness is more apparent in the Prescott, Arizona campus. The condition usually starts at the moment the male student steps foot on campus. The interpretation and standards regarding the physical attractiveness in women drops dramatically, causing every female individual to be “hot”, “cute”, "good looking", or "not bad".

For example, prior to “Riddle Vision”, a female is rated 5/10 in attractiveness. When “Riddle Vision” is present, the same female is rated 10/10. This condition explains the reasoning why all Embry-Riddle male students are extremely horny and ERAU female students take full advantage of this by using extreme pimpette skills.

Finals are finally done and over with. I think I did Ok but i still dread the day that my grades will be handed back to me. My last paper was Fluids with the lecturer I hate the most because he accent is worse than my Malaysian accent and more than half the class have no idea what he's talking about most of the time.

Well that's that. I'm glad it was over. Now I gotta start packing my luggages to prepare for the journey home. And this is what my room looks like. Mind you, it was very tidy before I started packing.

Just in case you are wondering, those bottles there are not illegal drugs. They are supplements that my parents wanted.

7 Guys, No Girls & a Dorm Room

In another 3 days, I will be leaving this god forsaken place and will be on my way back to Home Sweet Home. It is easy how we take things for granted and only realize how good our lives were till we leave home.

Just in case you don't know what I am talking about, let me enlighten you. Staying in a university dorm where 85% of the students are male and with the majority of the female students staying off campus means that you will be surrounded by guys in the dorms 99.99% of the time.

The unit I stay at consists of 4 bedrooms and a living room and 2 toilets. Originally it is 8 people to a unit, meaning 2 people in each room. But one lucky bastard has a room to himself which makes 7 guys. Even if it's 7 guys and not 8, it is still a sight to behold. Let me show you why. Just for the record, I did not take any pictures of the toilets because I did not want to scare any readers.

Let me start off with something light.

A vacuum cleaner and a broom left in the hallway. So what? No big deal right? That would be the case except that some idiot puked all over the hallway after he got pissed drunk. And being the idiot that he was, he cleaned the puke with the broom and the vacuum cleaner and left it there. So now whenever you turn on the vacuum, the vacuum will be emitting a barf smell.

Yea, the bastard that got the room to himself decided to revamp his room and dump the extra mattress in the already narrow corridor and make it narrower.

I don't know what happened here because I usually keep to myself in my own room. Call me anti-social but I ain't mixing with this crazy bunch. From what I heard, they had a wrestling match here. Apparently they used the furniture as stages or whatever. And someone always likes to leave his bike in the living room.

Yes, that's a whole lot of trash. I know. And the reason they are not in the trash can is because the trash can is full and the person who was supposed to take out the trash did not bother to. Don't look at me, it was clean during the week that I was in charge.

It's nasty, I know. And none of those are mine. Last semester, I left a bottle of milk in there and it got stolen by some junkie. Since then, I don't use the fridge. I don't even know what are those black residues. If you think that is bad, wait till you see the next picture.

In case you don't know what that is, that is a sock. I don't know what happened to the other one nor do I care. What I am interested in is who and why did someone leave a SOCK in the freezer.

Just in case you are wondering what the toilet is like, it is 10 times worse. I am just so glad that I am moving off campus next semester.

With the exam season rapidly approaching, common slackers like me often wonder if there are any shortcuts that could let us avoid burning all that midnight oil cramming formulas into our head.

Well, fear not for I have devised 4 ways to ace your exams

1. Writing notes on your arm.

With the average number of student in a college class going up to almost a hundred, you can always wear a long sleeve shirt or jacket and hide all that notes written on your arms. Just make sure you don't sweat too much.

2. Putting notes in your shoe/flip flops.

Pretend you are thinking of the solution and just take a quick glimpse down on notes you left in your shoe/flip flops.

3. Hiding a slip on your pencil.

This is an old school trick but nevertheless still proven effective.

4. Turning your head to either left or right.

Yes by that I mean take a look at your neighbor's paper. Let the suckers do all the studying. Just make sure that your exam is not specified closed neighbors.

Fellow student Derek Cheng, who just became a local celebrity recently,

was featured in framed a photo, situated inside the library, right in front of Jack R. Hunt Library entrance.

The photo, that was impossible to miss, showed local star Mr. Cheng jumping with joy while holding a book. The purpose of the photo was to promote Jack R. Hunt library to ERAU students. Initially, I find it hard to comprehend why he had to jump into that weird position while holding a book. Not until I took a closer look and saw the title of the book he was holding.

Getting Your Money's Worth

Everytime I see the breakdown of my tuition fees, be it in Taylors College or at ERAU, I always see myself being charged a ridiculously large amount for so called mandatory fees.

In my opinion, these mandatory fees are just a way for the college to overcharge you for things like computer labs and library service. That is just plain day-light robbery. With the final exams approaching, I decided to pay the library a visit to make full use of my "mandatory fees" that I pay every semester.

Stupid tree blocking the way. The library was constructed from funds donated by a very generous man that lived god-knows-how-long-ago. His name was Hunt and so the library was named after him.

They even have a mini monument of him right outside the library. The library has many facilities, such as computers, inter-library loan, and microfilm viewing rooms, just to name a few. Most people however, come here to ~~abuse~~ utilize the fast speed internet to ~~surf porn~~ do research on their assignments.

HOR!! What is THAT?!?!?!

Well other than using the high speed internet here ~~to play WoW~~, some people come here to do their assignments because it has a very quiet and peaceful environment that enables them to concentrate. Just like my friends Shi Wei, ~~Ma Diu~~ Matthew, and Wayne.

I wonder why is Matthew showing the "DIU" sign to Shi Wei. Oh, and let's not forget Shye, he's a little shy. That's why he likes to sit by himself.

As motivating as it is seeing my friends study so hard, I am just too lazy and can't be bothered. So this is how I use the library in between classes.

Gaining Weight, The Wrong Way

Ever since last semester when I've come to the US, I've been really Gung Ho about gaining weight. No, I don't mean that I want to become fat. I wanna become more muscular since all the fucking ang mohs here so big size. If I'm too weak I might get gang raped and I will have trauma for the rest of my life. So decided to do some body building to build some muscles and flex at the ang mohs when they try to "assault" me.

Yea, that book is supposedly written by Arnold Scwarzenegger. Though I really doubt it as the contents have better grammar than my college textbooks. Heck, look damn macho right the cover. I got half of that good enough liao keke.

At first it was just frequent visits to the gym. Seeing no results after one month, Terence and I decided to go buy some protein powder to boost up our progress.

One thing I can tell you is, I definitely don't drink that stuff for the taste. But oh what the heck, I'm too vain so I can't help it. Heck we even went to buy some Black Powder that supposedly improve our performance.

It says here that we are supposed to have more energy and all that crap.

The only thing I end up with are sleepless nights after drinking that thing due to all the caffeine and sugar in there.

With all these so called "body building products" to motivate me, I frequented the gym even more until my gloves are worn out.

Some weeks later, I weighed myself and was thrilled to find that I have gained weight. After all, they say muscles weigh 3 times as heavy as fat right?

But KNN, I have been gaining weight in the wrong place!!!!

Too many midnight encounters with this little bugger has made all the effort at the gym gone down the drain.

Disney's Animal Kingdom

The international student services of my university's department decided to organize a trip to Disney's Animal Kingdom last Saturday. Students have to sign up and pay for the tickets earlier as we'll be getting it at a cheaper rate. My roommate, Terence, and I decided to go on tag along earlier last week as we had nothing planned.

But due to unforeseen circumstances, he ditched me to go test drive his MKV GTI that he is planning to buy this coming fall. Since I already paid for the ticket, I thought to myself, "Oh what the heck, I am just gonna go without him." And so I went.

On the morning of Saturday, we had to gather in front of the student center at 9:00 am. Apparently only a handful of the students signed up for it.

And so we depart. The journey took us about 1 hour and 15 minutes by car. When we reached there, it was packed!! The crowd was huge and I thank god that we bought the ticket earlier, letting us skip that long line in front of the ticket counter.

And so I decided to be anti social and go off on my own since my friend isn't here. First thing I do when I went in was to look for a directory and for maps.

Then I had to plan my route so that I can cover as much as possible with the limited time I have.

So right now I am at the entrance at the Oasis.

They just have random animals here so I went walking around taking random pictures of animals.

They say got duck.

Wtf! Even more ducks, they must have some Chinese restaurant here that sells Peking Duck.

Ok so this part of the park was pretty boring, nothing out of the ordinary that was worth seeing. I then moved on to Discovery Island where I expect to "discover new things."

But WTF man, I got conned. I saw a...

... a stupid lemur from Madagascar. Worse than the last area.

The next area I decided to go was Asia, since I'm from there, to see if it is "Truly Asia."

First attraction I came across was the Maharajah Jungle Trek.

Yea the ruins gave me an India atmosphere.

Wow got Tigger. But then, things start to get a little strange...

and bats... Aiya shit man. I then decided to get the fuck out of that place and went for a roller coaster ride.

The ride was pretty unique in the sense that, it was the first ride I was on that falls backwards. I wanted to sneak my camera out to take a video but I got caught and was told to tuck it away. After the bars came down on me, it was difficult to get the camera out of my pants so I left it at that. This ride was probably child's play after going to Busch Gardens twice, but it was fun, nevertheless.

After the ride, it was already half past noon. I skipped breakfast so I was already hungry. I didn't want to spend too much on lunch and since all the shops around were fucking scams, I decided to walk over to Africa area before getting lunch.

When I got there, all the shops were crowded so I went for the one with the shortest line. Even then, I had to wait in line for almost half an hour to get this...

Stupid burger and water cost me 10 bucks man. DAYLIGHT ROBBERY!!! GIMME MY MONEY BACK!!!

After filling my tummy, I needed to rest a bit, so I went for the Safari Ride, where I get to sit down and see animals sun bathing.

Disney's ability to give fancy names for simple things never ceases to amaze me. I waited in line till it was finally my turn to get on the ride. While I was sitting in the car waiting for the cars in front to move, I got bored so I took some random pictures.

Too bad the driver is a guy, not a Chio Bu, otherwise I would have taken the face too. And look what I saw

Let's see if I can find Timon and Pumba. First thing I saw...

Saw some very rare white rhinos. Apparently, this is an endangered species. There are less than 4000 of these big guys in the world. All thanks to poachers. How come people made so many youtube videos of "LEAVE BRITNEY ALONE!!" but no one made a "LEAVE RHINOS ALONE!!" video?

Saw some flamingos

and some pelicans. Their beaks look alot smaller than the ones in Finding Nemo. It was already hard enough to take pictures when the car is always moving but this bitch decided to come and shove her arm into my picture.

Dancing Terrorist

My school held this fun raising event, where people pay 5 dollars to join. There's food, games, prizes, and dancing. All the profit are going to the orphanage near our school. It was Saturday night and since I had nothing to do, I decided to attend the event to pass time.

During the dancing session, I noticed this fellow dancing in a really funny way. My friends and I were laughing at him like jackasses and I decided to record it on my phone.

Well, I know I went overboard calling him a terrorist and I shouldn't have. Just because he looks like one, talks like one, smells like one, and acts like one, that doesn't give me the right to call him a terrorist.

Even if he is constantly talking about bombs and sneaking stuff out of the chemistry lab doesn't justify my baseless accusations of him being a terrorist. Ok shit I'm going way off topic.

GCH Concert

Eversince last week, my university's event organizing club, Touch-N-Go Productions, has been putting up posters and giving out flyers about the Gym Class Hereoes Concert.

Although Touch-N-Go Productions gets an annual budget of 100 thousand USD, I was pretty surprised that they managed to get hold of an actual band. By actual band, I mean bands with music videos on MTV.

Not crappy bands they hire from local bars.

But then again, you gotta give them credit once in a while.

Friday night came and the much anticipated event is about to start. I went there a little early as I had time on my hands and decided to get a good spot at the concert. We were waiting and waiting till 8.00 pm for the concert to start.

When it was finally 8.00 pm, the lights were dimmed and some figures began getting on stage. The speakers blasted and the spot lights were turned on. Much to my disappointment, I only saw 2 monkeys jumping up and down on stage. No Gym Class Heroes =(.

Even so, it seems pretty crowded and happening right? Well, think again.

So much floor space. Heck, even my high school prom nite was more crowded than that.

Just when I thought they were finally going to get off the stage and let the pros do the job, another crappy band with a lead singer that looks like a pimp came on stage.

They introduced themselves as "Kidz In The Hallz." Kids my ass, even the graduate students in my university is younger than their youngest member. And once again, they were disappoiting. They performed for a whole 30 minutes before they are willing to leave the stage.

Things didn't heat up till GCH came on stage.

One thing I can say is GCH came prepared. They even had their own little flag.

Things started to get a little crazy too, several people even got lifted up and got thrown to the side.

They played several songs which I wasn't familiar with because I am not a really big fan of theirs. But two songs did catch my attention. One which started off with "Put your peace sign up, put your index down"

The other song which I could recognize was "Clothes Off." GCH actually asked the audience to take off their clothes and throw it on the stage. But I was pretty sure that instruction was directed at the ladies in the crowd. Sadly, either the girls present were too shy or it was just a bad case of "Boys Gone Wild" as three idiots actually took off their shirts. The guyS to girl ratio at the concert was already bad (9:1). So much so that I already felt the gay atmosphere there. These three fags took off their shirt to make it more gay.

And yes, taking that picture was the gayest thing I did. (I'm straight, mind you.)

GCH continue playing a few songs till it was time for them to go. During their encore, Travis McCoy actually came down to the audience to liven things up.

Overall, although the first half of the concert was pretty bad, it was a good experience (considering that it is free because it was organised by my school).

First Time for Everything

Technically, this isn't my first time blogging. I still remember the days when I put crappy posts on my MSN myspace.

Actually, I don't even know the real reason I started this blog. Maybe it's to keep my friends and family updated, or maybe it's because I see all my frens blogging and I feel left out.

Well enough said. I was squeezing my brain juice dry just to think of a nice way to start my introduction post. Had several suggestions from my friends but I found a nice way in the end. Well here goes.

Currently, I am furthering my studies abroad in the States at Embry-Riddle.

No, that's not my school uniform. It's my uniform for my on campus job. I'm dirt poor so I have no choice but to work. My job goes from changing a light bulb to fixing furnitures. Yes, furnitures.

Yea stuff like that. It is a pretty nice place to work at as the times are flexible. You go in to work whenever u want. I have a pretty nice boss to, except for the fact that he looks like he could squash you with 1 hand and always look busy.

Yea his name is Rob. Other person I usually work with is Tom.

He was nice enough to pose for me by his beautiful locker. Notice the flower ribbons? My co-workers and I put them on his locker to make it look "prettier."

That's about it for my work place. As I do not have too many pictures of my school yet, I'll show you guys something interesting I saw in my class the other day.
